Faculty Development to Advance Learning in Laboratory Sciences

DMDP’s, Thanyanan Chaowanachan conducted a training workshop at the Technical School for Medical Care in the University of Health Sciences (TSMC/UHS) during January 27 – 29, 2020.  This training of trainers (TOT) workshop was provided to 14 participants from National Laboratories (Khmer- Soviet Friendship Hospital, National Pediatric Hospital), Calmette Hospital, Kampong Cham Provincial Hospital, TSMC & Pharmacy School of UHS and DMDP.  The goal was to help educators increase the effectiveness of their teaching and guide students in skills such as critical thinking and problem solving.  Workshop content included addressing the importance of working in teams and collaborating, communicating, and finding and analyzing information.
At the end of workshop, participants began to develop new skills, knowledge and attitudes and many showed potential to serve as training assistants to continue to support in-service training programs.
