DMDP staff develop a role play activity for training clinical and laboratory staff on detection and treatment of Melioidosis

DMDP staff developed and facilitated an educational role play activity for participants of DTRA sponsored workshops in Laos for the Laos Training Event for Awareness of Melioidosis (L-TEAM) and Takeo Provincial Referral Hospital in Cambodia.  The role play reviews various elements necessary for the proper management of a patient suffering from melioidosis. DMDP clinical team and laboratory team members collaborated to develop a patient case scenario (from presentation to discharge at 2 weeks), participant roles, and props for an interactive roleplay activity.

The DMDP team set up the role play for L-TEAM at Pakse, Laos.
