Senior Laboratory Mentor
Diagnostic Microbiology Technologist
Em Rattanak holds an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from the UHS Technical School for Medical Care (TSMC). He also graduated from Build Bright University with a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. He is currently enrolled at TSMC in the bridging program to obtain a Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. He has also completed online and extended training courses in Medical Microbiology from the Pacific Paramedical Training Center in Wellington, New Zealand. Rattanak serves as a DMDP’s senior laboratory mentor and provides onsite training at the four provincial referral hospitals and NIPH.
Mr. Ros Chanyasith
Diagnostic Microbiology Technologist
Ros Chanyasith holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from the International University and a B.A.-Ed. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from the Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia. After graduating, he volunteered in the microbiology laboratory at the Sihanouk Hospital Center of Hope for one year and worked as a supervisor in a private diagnostic laboratory. Yasith also served as a laboratory officer managing and teaching medical laboratory technology at Putissastra University for five years. He now serves as a DMDP laboratory mentor providing onsite training to government staff in DMDP supported diagnostic microbiology laboratories in Provincial Referral Hospitals and the NIPHL in Phnom Penh.
Mr. Morn Sineang
Diagnostic Microbiology Technologist
Morn Sineang holds an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from the UHS Technical School for Medical Care. He has earned a BA in Teaching English as a Foreign Language at Build Bright University. Sineang has taken the Pacific Paramedical Training Center microbiology course in New Zealand. He has worked at the UHS Central Media Making Laboratory and as a laboratory mentor, provides onsite training at the four provincial referral hospitals. He also serves as the DMDP Inventory Manager responsible for ordering and processing supplies for DMDP supported microbiology laboratories in provincial hospitals.
Mr. Chaing Chanborann
Diagnostic Microbiology Technologist
Chaing Chanborann graduated in Medical Laboratory Technology from the UHS Technical School for Medical Care. He has also completed training courses in Microbiology at the Pacific Paramedical Training Center in Wellington, New Zealand. Apart from medical field, he is currently pursuing a Bachelors in the Arts of General Management at BELTEI International University. He worked for three years in the UHS Central Media Making Laboratory and serves as a DMDP laboratory mentor training onsite at the four provincial referral hospitals. He speaks Khmer, English and Thai.
Mr. Bun Sopheak
Laboratory Technician
Sopheak graduated with an associate degree of Medical Laboratory Technician from the University of Health Science (UHS), Technical School for Medical Care (TSMC) in Phnom Penh. He also received a bachelor’s degree in English for Communication, Faculty of Arts, Humanities, and Languages from Western University (WU) in 2018. Sopheak subsequently worked in private clinical laboratories two years before joining DMDP as a Laboratory Technician where he works at the Central Media Making Laboratory (CMML) at the University of Health Science.
Mr. Phon Socheat
Laboratory Technician
Mr. Phon Socheat graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory at International University (IU), Cambodia. He was a volunteer in the Microbiology Laboratory at National Institute Public Health Laboratory (NIPH) for 6 months followed by work at a private clinical laboratory. He is working with DMDP as a Laboratory Technician at the Central Making Media Laboratory (CMML) at the University of Health Science (UHS).
Ms. Loek Yavdy
Laboratory Technician
Ms. Loek Yavdy finished her Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from the Technical School for Medical Care (TSMC), University of Health Science (UHS), Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2016. She also has a bachelor’s degree of Art’s in English Language and Literature from University of Cambodia, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. She started working for DMDP as an Operations Assistant in HR for six months in 2017. Yavdy is currently working for DMDP as a Laboratory Mentor at the Central Media Making Laboratory (CMML), UHS where she trains and assists the UHS laboratory staff in the implementation of the quality media preparation and media distribution.
